About me

I am a French - Brazilian filmmaker based in Scotland. While studying at La Sorbonne, I started producing and directing documentaries in order to film the stories that inspired me. I produced and directed three medium-length films in Brazil, Scandinavia and Korea and used them as a way to engage debates around human rights and social issues in different French universities. After graduation, I left to travel and work abroad but decided to go back to Europe to study filmmaking at the Edinburgh College of Art in 2016.

My first short "Until Sunrise" premiered at the International Sport Film Festival in Italy, in 2018.

"I don't want to call it Home" is my second short and was produced as a part of the 2018 Bridging the Gap scheme, organised by The Scottish Documentary Institute. It was premiered at the Edinburgh international Film Festival in 2018 and continued its festival career at the Dinard International Film Festival in France, Cucalorus Festival in the US, Flying Broom in Turkey and in other festivals around the world.

My first TV documentary «Spit it out» was commissioned by BBC Scotland and talks about recovering from sexual trauma through spoken words and performances. It was released in June 2019 and a longer form is currently being developed.

Interested in developing new collaboration and pushing boundaries between artistic mediums, I recently started the collective Jack is Joe and directed my first music video, mixing short fiction and musical storytelling.
